About our new Editor-in-Chief.



The management of Kerala Health Research Online is happy to anounce that Sri. P.S.Remesh Chandran, one of the long-standing employees of the Kerala Health Services Department, would be taking charge as Editor-in-Chief in December 2013, following his retirement from government. We congratulate him for his corruption-less and bold service of 32 years with no promotions but with an exposure of quite a number of departmental wrong-doers. Awards/Punishments:

Awarded punishment of barring one increment without cumulative effect in 1984, for disobeying officer in preparing an inconceivably huge bill. (Full proceedings can be read by clicking this link)

Proposed award of punishment of barring two increments with cumulative effect for frequent leaves which was cancelled and limited to a written warning, following appeal to government. (Full proceedings can be read by clicking this link)



Promotions/Higher Grades/Incentives:

Qualifications: S.S.L.C. with High First Class in 1973. Acquired M.O.P. in 1983. Entered Department as L.D.Clerk and left it as such. No first, second, third and fourth higher grades allowed. Promotion on attainment of 50 years’ age in 2007 denied, in spite of strict government direction to the Director of Health Services.



Liabilities:

No amount due to government from this person. But the department is yet to pay him Rs.17 Lakhs, being arrears with interest from 1991.

Editor of Sahyadri Books & Bloom Books, Trivandrum. Author of several books in English and in Malayalam. And also author of Swan: The Intelligent Picture Book. Born and brought up in the beautiful hamlet of Nanniyode in the Sahya Mountain Valley in Kerala. Father British Council-trained English teacher and mother University-educated. Matriculation with distinction and University Studies in Science with National Merit Scholarship. Discontinued Diploma Studies in Electronics and entered politics. Unmarried and single.

Author of many books in English and in Malayalam including poetical collections and fictions, a few of which are, Ulsava Lahari, Kaalam Jaalakavaathilil, Darsana Deepthi, Puzhayozhukee Eevazhi, Vaidooryam, Manal, Jalaja Padma Raaji, Goodlaayi Graamum, Time Upon My Window Sill and Swan, the Intelligent Picture Book. 


Devised and implemented PROPÈS-INDIA, Project for the Popularization of English Songs in India.
